Most companies ask you to make arrangements with many different companies to get your website going. Or, if you're lucky, you can get all the services from the same place, but extra charges are added on. We include everything in our packages and stick with you the whole way.

We are willing to do extra work beyond what's in our packages, and we do charge for that. But our complete packages include everything you are likely to need.

A little bit of fine print. Occasionally, below, you'll find the phrase “within reason”. That means that we don't expect you to ever run into a limit, but, in fact, servers are finite. If you want to, say, store 20,000 images, we might not be able to handle it. In that case, we'll come to you and find a solution. 500 words and 2 pictures is a pretty typical web page. If you were to have web pages three times that size, and were to create a hundred of them, you wouldn't reach a limit. However, storing many high-resolution images, videos, or music files might. Similarly, if we offer a service “within reason”, that means we don't have to give you so much service that it puts our business in jeopardy. Nobody wants that!

Domain name included

Your domain name is the name of your business on the internet. It might or might not match the name of your company.

For example, DutchBros.com belongs to the coffee company, dutch-brothers.com is about dirt bikes, and there's a dutchbrothersgranite.com that is a Phoenix countertop installer. In Denver, there's a Dutch Brothers Flower Market. They're dutchflowermarket.com.

We'll use your existing domain name, or help you choose one. We'll even help you figure out whether you own one or not.

We will keep your domain name current, renewing for as long as you're our customer. Once you're not, you can take your domain name with you.

(At the end of your contract you can take your domain name with you.)

Monthly payments mean you have our support and attention all along the way, not just in the first month or two. Our low monthly plans also make a professional website accessible to every business.

Hosting included

A web host is a computer “server”—actually, more than one—that's maintained for the purpose of making sure your website is available on the internet all the time. Your domain name is mapped to a number that tells the other computers on the internet where to find your web page. Most web designers require you to find a web hosting service on your own. With Web Presence, it's included.

Your website will be backed up daily, so in the event of an “internet disaster” we can get you back up and running quickly.

E-mail addresses

Your web site includes e-mail at your domain name.

Whether you read your e-mail online, or use Microsoft Outlook or another program, you'll be able to access your new e-mail address to send and receive mail.

Content changes

After you've approved your site, life will change. It always does. You'll change your store hours, or get a new company car. Whatever happens, we'll keep your site up to date.

Let us know when you want to change the content (not the design, please!), and we'll take care of it. (Some plans let you change it yourself, as well.) Your fee covers a certain number of “full-service” changes per year. (Those include writing and editing as well. Please see “included complete pages” below.)

Support (23 hour response)

We want you to have complete confidence in your web site. For that reason, you'll have access to support for as long as you're with us.

We will respond to e-mails within 23 hours (often much sooner). We'll chat on instant messaging (IM) when we're able.

We could say that we'll get your site done as soon as you send us some great content. That's what a lot of web-designers say. And if you already have a Word document that describes your company in 500 well-chosen words, we'll be happy to use it. But if you're more like the rest of us, we'll ask you some easy questions, and then come up with SEO content for you. (In case you don't know, SEO means search-engine optimized, and that means content that Google finds interesting, and so will show to more people.)

A “page” for these purposes, is up to 500 words (provided by you or us) and up to two pictures (usually provided by you).

Simple Easy Business and Simple Easy Pro web sites allow you to log in and edit any page. We'll help you figure out how to do it, if you're interested.

Widgets (twitter, facebook, other fun stuff)

If you're active on the internet, you may find you want to tie things together. Using small programs called widgets, we can make your tweets appear on your web site, or include data from facebook or other favorite web hang-outs. We'll work with you to try to make the cool gadgets you find work with your web site, if we can.

Paypal and other e-commerce integration

If you have a Paypal account, customers can pay you online using a credit or debit card. We'll help with that by placing the needed links on your web site.

Contact form

With a contact form, visitors can send you a message directly from the site.

E-mail list management

Thinking of sending a monthly e-newsletter? We know the value of a mailing list. At your request, we'll include a form to allow people to sign up for your e-mail updates, and store the addresses on our servers. We'll provide the addresses to you on request at no charge, or send out your e-mail newsletters for a small fee. (See pay per use services.)

Web Presence Watch^TM page

A Web Presence Watch page collects information about you on the web into one place, so you can see how you look on the internet. Have there been any recent blog posts about your company? Has anyone mentioned you on Twitter? Complained about you on Yelp? How many people have visited your web site? Find out the answer to these questions (and more) on your Web Presence Watch page. This is an exclusive service for our Simple Easy Pro customers.
